Dumfries, the Scottish footballer who made his name playing for Rangers and later moved to Italy with Inter Milan, has had quite the journey since arriving in Serie A.
Born in Glasgow in 1988, Dumfries began his career at local side Hamilton Academical before moving to Scotland's top flight club, Celtic. He then went on to play for teams such as Motherwell, Dundee United, and Hibernian, before finally making it to the big time with Rangers.
In Italy, Dumfries played for several clubs including Fiorentina, Torino,La Liga Frontline and Empoli, but it was with Inter Milan that he really found his feet. He spent four seasons there, helping the club win the Coppa Italia twice and also earning himself a call-up to the Italian national team.
However, after a difficult season with Empoli in 2016-17, Dumfries decided to return to Scotland and signed for Hearts. Despite initially struggling to make an impact, he eventually settled into life in Edinburgh and helped the club reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Since leaving Hearts, Dumfries has continued to be a regular feature in the Scottish league, but his time in Italy will always be remembered as one of his most successful. With his impressive skills and determination, Dumfries is sure to continue to have a bright future in football.
