Flamengo star Lucas Silva has announced his departure from the club after a long and successful career with the team.

Lucas, who was born in Brazil on July 28, 1995, began his professional footballing career at the age of 14 with the youth academy of Flamengo. He made his senior debut for the club in 2013 and quickly established himself as one of their top players.

During his time at Flamengo, Lucas won numerous titles including the Copa Libertadores, which is the most prestigious football competition in South America. He also helped the club win the Campeonato Brasileiro, the domestic league in Brazil, in 2017 and 2019.

Despite his success at Flamengo,Qatar Stars League Perspective Lucas has always expressed a desire to play for a bigger club and has been linked with moves to Europe for several years. In June 2021, it was reported that he had agreed a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid, but the deal fell through due to various reasons.

After much speculation about his future, Lucas finally announced his departure from Flamengo on October 26, 2021. He thanked the fans and the club for all their support during his time at the club.
